This site was set up to better communicate in our efforts to fight the constant rate increases as well as water leaks, boil water advisories, sewage spills and poor service by Utilities, Inc. dba Tega Cay Water Service in Tega Cay, SC.
The site was initially NoRateIncrease.com, and now has been updated to meet our current goals. Thanks for your patience while we get our new site updated. 10/9/13

October 1, 2013 : Utilities, Inc. CEO Lisa Sparrow writes to SC Governor Haley "Safety is our absolute Number One priority". We say "WRONG"!!
Sparrow's letter states, in part: "I must take issue with the
Town Council’s suggestion that we do not take notification of SSOs
Safety is our absolute Number One priority. We want to do more to notify
customers affected by SSOs, and we are working cooperatively with state
agencies to identify additional and appropriate means of notification"
We are wondering why -- if they are North America's largest privately
owned water/sewer company -- they would need other agencies to tell them
how to notify customers of dangerous situations. Shouldn't they already
know that? Read more excuses as to why they have not been able to
provide proper and adequate service to Tega Cay in the full letter here. Read the letter from Tega Cay's Mayor and City Council that prompted Ms Sparrow's letter.
Hopefully, Govenor Haley will understand that we REALLY need her help. SC regulatory agencies have failed for more than a decade to provide an adequate solution and the residents of Tega Cay and those that use Lake Wylie deserve better!
